A panel in criminal proceedings always consists of 3 judges. A reserve judge has also been appointed in this case. A second reserve judge is still being considered.
In large cases, reserve judges are often used. It is expected that this case will take a longer period of time. A reserve judge can, if necessary, replace a sitting judge, for example in case of illness, so that the case can continue as normal.
